Vulcan Steel

A recent commercial project for Vulcan Steel, completed by our team in Otago, this warehouse stands out from the rest.

Spanning 2070sqm and constructed with 80 tonnes of structural steel, the building boasts a 9m stud & includes twin 8-tonne gantries, making it a top-of-the-line facility. In addition to the warehouse, a 184m2 building has been constructed off-center, featuring an office, smoko meeting room, & toilet area. The building has been clad in the stylish AMC panel from Stratco NZ, & a barbeque area has been provided on a fenced, exposed aggregate concrete pad outside the office building.

Awarded in February of last year, we broke ground in mid-July. Despite the land being formerly swampy farmland with unpredictable ground conditions, we worked with the geo-tech engineers to develop a plan for removing unsuitable ground & restoring the site to a level that could accommodate the building’s weight. After months of diligent work, the project was completed in January 2023, providing Vulcan Steel with a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a vital distribution hub for years to come.
